telecom & utility case studies
Web-Based sales order entry application
Development of a web based sales order entry application.
Resource allocation and scheduling system
Designed and constructed a Resource Allocation and Scheduling system for controlling both Inside and Outside plant personnel.
Mobility dealer commission system
An analysis of an existing Mobility Dealer Commission System was performed with the goal of simplifying the structure, accommodating a new incentive program, and minimizing the amount of duplicate data entry. The early payout of some of the commissionable elements was investigated using Net Present Value (NPV) analysis. A system was designed to import the data from their AS/400 computer and generate the report required by management.
Call processing system
Designed and developed the Call Processing System (CAPS) for a Direct Marketing Center. The application was developed with a Mosaix phone dialer, and served as the main application used by sales agents to contact customers and track sales.
Sales verification system
Designed and developed a Sales Verification System used in audit processes to validate customer transactions, posted by the Direct Marketing Center.
Audio conferencing bridge scheduling system
Nicom developed an Audio Conferencing Bridge Scheduling system for a major telecommunications provider. This system responded to remote logins by customers and allowed them to schedule audio conferences. The system also started and terminated conferences at the scheduled times. This system, initially intended to have a life of one and a half years, was recently retired after 15 years of 24 x 7 continuous use.
