Client: Aliant is one of the largest regionally focused telecommunications service providers in North America. With such a large customer base placing orders over the telephone, Aliant realized that modernizing its order flow process would greatly benefit the company.
NicomIT developed part of Aliant's online purchasing process, creating the High Speed Value Package Ordering System as a stand alone web application. Comparable to a shopping cart system, the new ordering system consists of a series of screens which allow users to add and remove products to and from an Aliant Value Package. Once the customer has created its own Value Package, the completed order is submitted to Aliant for processing.
This application reduced the number of telephone calls Aliant receives during its ordering process and provides the customer services representatives with complete orders ready for approval.
