Client: The Port of Halifax is located on Halifax harbour, one of the deepest and largest natural harbours in the world. The Port of Halifax is one day closer to Southeast Asia (via Suez) than any other East Coast Container port. Daily double-stack train departures from the Port of Halifax to Montréal, Toronto, and Chicago are provided by Canadian National Railways. The Port of Halifax has an employment impact of over 15,000 direct, indirect, and induced jobs, and an economic impact of almost $700 million.

Responsibilities: The Port of Halifax employed NicomIT to re-develop its existing web site and to develop a number of new functional elements. The new elements, such as a reporting system on the weather and tide conditions in Halifax harbour, enable the Port of Halifax to provide valuable information to its clientele. The Port of Halifax is able to update its web site with ease using a flexible Content Management System (CMS).
