Utility Review Board (URB)

Motor Vehicle Inspection System

Developed a Vehicle Compliance Administration System (VCARS) to allow Motor Vehicle Inspectors and Inspection Stations to maintain information about violations committed by commercial vehicle operators. Information is gathered in the field and uploaded to a central server on a daily basis. Other features include work scheduling, inspections reports, etc.

Film Classification System

Developed a Film Classification System for the Maritime Film Classification Board. This online system is used to maintain records on all movies that have been classified in Nova Scotia. The system also allows remote users to access non-confidential data via remote access software.

Justice System

Completed changes to the Victims Online Information System for the Department of Justice, to enhance the capabilities of the system.

Vital Statistics Search System

Developed an application for the Vital Statistics Division for allowing users to search for and print a client's birth, marriage, or death certificate. The system also reads in a text file downloaded from the Mainframe and imports it into the database to keep the local copy of data current. The system uses an SQL Anywhere database.

Vital Statistics Request Recording System

Developed a second system is used by the accounting department to record the requests for birth, death, and marriage certificates received through the mail. As the services are performed, they are recorded on the system as being completed along with certificate numbers used to complete the service. The system also allows the accounting staff to set up their accounts and budgets and record expenses against the accounts, and produces a variety of reports.

Motor Vehicles Medical Unit System

Developed a system for the Motor Vehicles Medical Unit, to record, monitor, and make decisions on individual's drivers who have been reported to the department with a medical condition. The system also produces a variety of reports.
