The Society of Management Accountants of Canada represents 38,000 Certified Management Accountants (CMAs) and 10,000 students and candidates in Canada and around the world. CMA Canada grants a professional designation in Strategic Management Accounting and regulates its members under the authorization of provincial legislation.

Business Situation

The Halifax office for this client came to us seeking consulting services. Their infrastructure was nearing end-of-life and being a professional organization wanted to ensure that their membership data was secure and being handled in an efficient manner.

Solution

WeOur IT Assessment service led to a number of recommendations on how to make their infrastructure work better for them, which ended up in an entire replacement of their server. We procured the new equipment, installed the server software, and configured the server and clients on this new system.

We also developed several electronic commerce applications for the CMA, including event management, membership recruitment, and administrative functions.
