Since becoming a Crown corporation, Tourism BC had to stop using the provincial government’s computer systems. In a relatively short period of time they were expected to source and implement a new accounting and distribution system. Nicom was asked to participate in the software selection process and to use our Requirement's Definition and Purchasing Methodology to help guide the organization through procurement. It was important that a package be selected relatively quickly and implementation started as soon as possible.

Nicom was a consultant for Tourism BC when they unexpectedly needed to search for a new Financial Information System. Nicom helped define the requirements for the new system and located a suitable provider. Tourism BC was in a unique situation because they only had three months to complete the process.

Using our Software Procurement Methodology, Nicom was able to significantly reduce the amount of time required to select and purchase a new system. Tourism British Columbia is now using a new, very comprehensive software package to help manage their operation.
